Assistant Service Portfolio Manager





Job Summary:

The Service Portfolio Managerdevelops the company service offerings and capabilities ba n existing within organization,  or align with other product group andpartners, to ensure the best in class service products/portfolio/offerings aredeveloped in China storage & data service market. The Assistant Service Portfolio Manager  will focus on foundation service portfolio andother IT / Data Center services portfolio development,  to help customers to meet their businessimperatives based upon his/her deep insight into IT trend and customerrequirements. The AssistantService Portfolio Manager will work in a matrix organization, by co-workingwith various teams. These teams includeproduct management, product engineering, R&D, support service organization,professional services teams, operation and finance organizations, field salesand pre-sales team across different organizations.

This position requires a dynamic,hard-working and ambitious individual with good oral and written communicationskills, both inChinese and English.Individuals will also show proven record and good potential on interpersonalskills,  virtual team synergy, problemsolving on tough situation and highpressure, and strong customer interactionskills.



JobResponsibility:

·       Service Product Line and Portfolio management

o   Manage the service product lines,include but not limited to, sales trends forecast, service prices research,  portfolio architect, and marketing plandevelopment to drive service business growth.

o   Define service cost and pricingin align with attached HW product or standalone service products, to makeservice product/product line maintain at profitable business value outcome

o   Defineand develop service delivery model, services support structure, service cost and price model, servicedelivery and operation process, etc.

·       Defineand Analyze new or changed Services


o   Define the desired outcomes of aproposed new or changed service, analyze the impacts on existing services inthe Service Portfolio, and determine the assets required to offer the service, assess the Service Portfolio atregular basis to ensure the service offerings which are aligned with theService Strategy.

·       New Product R&D and Program Support

o   Workwith Product Marketing team / R&D team and other peer teams to engage in companynew product R&D project/programs,  toensure HW/SW/Solution based services are fully developed and enabled and meetmarketing & customer requirements. ·       Service Operation

o   Involvedin service operation process by working with other teams including operationteam/IT team, to ensure service product #s ready in business system.  

o   Define& optimize the service process to improvement operation efficiency

o   Maintainservice price, service PN# and other needed key assets in company criticalbusiness system

·       Service Marketing Strategy Setup & Promotion

o   Track the industry's technologydevelopment direction, collect and analyze competitor service productinformation, and provide analytical reports and research materials on a regularbasis.

o   Provide promotion of serviceproducts for both internal customers (company related departments) and externalcustomers (customers in different industries and fields)

o   Provideservice awareness training to internal & external customer,  including sales/pre-sales and other neededselling force

·       Project and Program Support

o  Participate in needed programs to enable,accelerate new service product business acceleration in Storage & DataService marketo  Engage in some key projects to ensure smoothtransition and handover from design phase to delivery stage.


Requirements:

·       Stronginterpersonal communication, presentation and persuasion skills, successfullyapplied in a customer and cross-functional environment

·       Havea good understanding of ITtrend and China customer requirements, be good at learning and innovation

·       Haveexperience in developing and managing service products with sound track record

·       Abilityto understand customers requirements, including business objectives, gapanalysis and IT competencies,

·       Abilityto work collaboratively with customers and other internal organizations duringpotentially stressful situations

·       Have technical background and experience in enterprise software, storage,server or network product support or integration projects in large enterpriseenvironments



·       Havegood experience and sound record in at least one of the following technicalareas:

o   Enterprise storage, servers andnetworks product

o   Private, public and hybrid cloudsor virtualization solutions

o   Experience in architectinginfrastructure solutions

o   SoftwareDefined Data management



o  Service Management & ITIL  

·       Willingness to be mobile and meet client travelrequirements with no more than 20%

Education & Experience:


·       ABachelor degree or higher experience,  EEor Computer Science is preferred·       Aminimum of 5 years of IT industry experience, with minimum of 2 years of IT service or IT productmanagement experience is required·       Knowledgeof storage technology industry and market is preferred·       Experiencein service product support, data center support,  IT infrastructure solution development·       Haveexperience in cloud service support or data management is preferred·       Goodclient /customer relationship management skills·       Extensiveclient/customer service management skills is preferred·       Strongoral , written and presentation skills in English and Chinese·       Demonstratedstructured problem solving abilities, mental agility and Systematic thinking·       Experiencein ITIL / Agile / TOGAF / CMMI ·       Passionto customer
