Job Description
IBM has entered into a strategic partnership with a partner company to set up the
IBM Cloud Platform in China. The PE/PM role is responsible for managing the
partnership to deliver the stated business objectives of the agreement. The
successful candidate will oversee the project management office with an
emphasis around contract & financial/business management, act as the senior
IBM representative working on-site in the partner HQ location in Shanghai, and is
expected to collaborate closely with key stake holders from both companies
across R&D, deployment, IT, offering management, GTM, legal & compliance, etc.
Expectation:
Develops and maintains strong relationships with the partner company executives
and leaders
Acts as the principal interface and escalation point for partner company into the
IBM organization
Tracks, reports, and escalates as appropriate, achievement against KPI's to stake
holders in IBM and the Wanda Cloud company
Engages at all levels in IBM and the partner company, providing leadership to
ensure that key performance metrics are being achieved
Tracks key project and program activities, coordinates with project managers from
different work streams to manage deliverables and timelines
Identifies and mitigates risks, brings problems and issues to resolution
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in the IT industry
Experience working on-site in large, strategic accounts as client executive/project
executive/project manager
Experience managing complex project/troubled project
Understanding of Cloud technology and industry
Demonstrable business acumen and track record managing P/L
Demonstrable technical acumen to engage technical line of client/partner
organization
