Team Lead – Global Infrastructure Operation 2nd Line Team
Background
Thisjob is for a fortune 500 company with its global IT delivery center in Nanjing.You will work with your global peers to provide world-class IT service to itsinternal customers. This job requires strong leadership, solid experiencein process and infrastructure technology background as well as fluent English,both oral and written.
Job Description:
The Team Lead– 2nd Line Infrastructure support team is primarily responsiblefor leading global IT-infrastructure support team to deliver work-class serviceto corporate users globally. The team leader ensures delivery of technicalresolution of global incidents that could not be resolved by 1stline teams. He/she leads 2nd line engineers (Workplace, Server andNetwork) to work with various teams globally.
Responsibilities:

  • Manages     IT Engineers team and daily operation.
  • Team     member development/coaching/mentoring/training.
  • Creates     positive team atmosphere and motivate team members.
  • Ensures     the team follow right process to meet the KPI matrix and SLA.
  • Works     with critical incident management team, various global peers to drive     severity 1 incident fix.
  • Capacity     management, release management, application management, backup, new device     onboarding, etc.;
  • Ensures     delivery of change requests for IT infrastructure.
  • Ensures     delivery of problem investigation within scope (establishes root causes);     and suggests workarounds for problems (2nd line);
  • Knowledge     sharing with various teams.
Requirements:

  • Team     management (size >8) experience > 2 years;
  • Direct     experience with IT infrastructure Operation > 5 years;
  • People     skill – development, coaching and mentoring;
·        Clear understanding of globaloperation, KPI matrix and Incident/Problem management process.

  • Broad     infrastructure technical background in Network, Server and Microsoft     workplace Technologies;
  • Strong     methodology in problem analysis and solving;
  • Be able     to create collaborative relationship at global level;
  • Good     communication skills;
  • Fluent     English – both oral and written;
  • CCNP,     MCITP, MCSE certificates are certainly a plus but not mandatory;
  • BA/BA+     degree in ICT.
Travel:
       In general, your time for international/domestic travel should be no more than10% annually.
