Job Description

Core Responsibilities andTasks

Understand emerging andevolving end user use cases and requirements in Big Data and Analytics,documenting those usage cases and business, technical and user requirements anddesigning a solutions architecture to meet those requirements.

Define and Document the BigData architectures and solution requirements, specifying the implementation HWand SW solution stack.

Define end user proofs ofconcept to test the architectures, use case and corresponding technologies intestbed or real end user environments.

Play both a consultativerole to design and deliver proven quality solutions

All architectural alignmenttasks during the lifecycle of the project and ensuring that they align withinformation standards and Enterprise Models

Support the Program Managerin determining the skill sets and level of effort required to design a program,project and applications to meet business requirements

Select the appropriateanalytical architecture to fulfill the program or project’s analyticalrequirements

Review and approve variousartifacts ensuring enforcement of standard enterprise data element names,abbreviations, characteristics and domain during the lifecycle of theproject/program.

Required Technical andProfessional Expertise

Strong problem solvingattitude and proactive behavior to growth

Substantial expertise inAdvanced Analytics technologies & solutions (incl. SPSS, SAS, R, Tableau,Qlikview)

Proven practical expertisein Big Data projects using Hadoop Ecosystem, NoSQL or Cloud Data Managementtechnologies

Preferred Technical andProfessional Experience

Master’s Degree

Experience in Big Dataproject consulting - using Hadoop, Map Reduce or SQL technologies

Experience in design -experience with programming on high-scale or distributed systems (such asHadoop)
